Transit of goods via Iran up 42%

TEHRAN – Over 8.1 million tons of goods was transited via Iran’s roads in the past calendar year (ended March 20), up 42 percent year on year.
Some 86 percent of the goods were transited through the roads network and the rest through the rail network, the deputy roads and transportation minister stated.Shahryar Afandizadeh added that Bandar Abbas and Sarakhs borders, respectively in south and northwest of Iran, were the places through which the highest volumes of goods were transited
